Hire a Professional.
“If You Think It’s Expensive To Hire A Professional To Do The Job, Wait Until You Hire An Amateur.” - Red Adair
$400 for a plumber. That’s what a friend recently paid for an issue she was having. Did she balk at that price? NO! She knew the value that he was providing, and that it would be done right - the first time - and she wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore.
Another friend paid top dollar for landscaping this summer. Is it something she could have done herself? Probably. Is it something she wants to do? Heck no! She has so much on her plate, that landscaping would have taken all summer - and likely well into the fall - and take so much time away from her family and the things she wants to be doing.
In both of these examples, these smart consumers have hired a professional to take care of their problem. They paid for the peace of mind. They paid for the freedom from the issue. They paid for the freedom of their time in not having to worry about the issue or have to deal with repercussions from it not being done right. I’m sure they are both sleeping well tonight, confident in their decisions.
This same principle applies to your business financials. Are you spending tons of time trying to figure out...
- your business expenses?
- how much you made last month (not what's in your bank account...what your actual profit was)?
- if you have everything you need at tax time?
- where your records of all of your expenses are?
- if all of your outstanding bills are paid?
- if anyone still owes you money?
If so - maybe it’s time to think about hiring a professional!
